Marine Police Investigators Seeking Witnesses to Fatal Boating Accident

Alabama Marine Police officials are asking that anyone who witnessed or assisted those involved in the fatal boating accident that occurred on August 9th on Lake Martin contact them immediately.

"During the course of the investigation we've discovered that in addition to the two boats involved in the accident and a pontoon boat that stopped to assist, there was a fourth boat that may have towed the Legacy runabout in." said Captain Matt Brooks. "We really need to talk with those folks as soon as possible."

Brooks asks that anyone who has any information regarding the accident please call the Marine Police district office at 1-800-432-7389 or (256) 329-2268. "We are still investigating the accident so if there is no immediate answer at those numbers, please leave a message and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible" Brooks said.
